The Norfolk Gravel Epic, set for June 14, 2025, offers a scenic and relatively flat gravel century ride through the picturesque countryside and coastline of North Norfolk. Riders can choose between a 111 km long route with 900 meters of elevation or an 83 km medium route with 650 meters of climbing. Both routes start from Fakenham Racecourse and follow the historic Peddar’s Way, a well-known ancient trail, before the long route extends to the coast at Hunstanton. This ride is perfect for those seeking a day of flowing gravel trails, quiet country lanes, and seaside views without significant elevation challenges. The long route takes riders north along the Peddar’s Way, passing through rolling countryside and gravel byways before reaching Hunstanton, where they’ll enjoy nearly 10 km of coastal riding alongside dunes and marshes. The first feed stop comes after 43 km, with a second one near the 100 km mark, ensuring riders stay fueled throughout the journey. The medium route follows the same initial 48 km, including the first feed stop, before turning inland and rejoining the long route just before the second feed stop, making it ideal for those wanting a sub-100 km adventure. Participants can expect fully signed routes, GPX files provided ahead of time, and feed stations offering tea, coffee, cake, sandwiches, and crisps. Mechanical support will be available both at the rider village and along the course, with support vans on standby for major issues. The finish line celebration includes a complimentary beer and food truck, perfect for sharing stories with fellow riders. Camping is available at Fakenham Racecourse, with hotels and restaurants just minutes away in the town center. Though public transport access is limited, the nearest train stations are Sheringham and King’s Lynn.
